Portable BBQ Grills
When I first started writing about BBQ Grills, I wondered why anyone would want a portable BBQ grill. I thought for sure it had to be for apartment dwellers and city slickers. However, the more I got into BBQ grills, the more I found out how useful the portable grill can be. Therefore, I am dedicating an entire page to Portable Barbecue (BBQ) Grills! Anyone familiar with my reviews will know, I pull no punches. I search through reviews and give you the Good and the Bad.
Portable BBQ Grills Gas
Cobb CB042 Pro Portable BBQ Grill and Smoker – $99
PROS – The small size of 16×16 makes it easy to carry, plus it is a smoker.
CONS – I am not sure if it is a new product or not, but I can’t find any reviews on this thing. If you have used it, please leave a comment for a review. Thank you.
Recommendation – I like this for smaller apartments and even picnics. I don’t think I would recommend this for tail gating or the like. The shape makes me think it would spill out.
Bayou Classic Fold and Go Portable Grill – $30
PROS – Its folding style makes it so very portable. Plus, you can throw some match light coals in there and fire it right up! Not to mention the ridiculously low price of $30.
CONS – The only negative I found on this grill was that it is not the most sturdy. In fact, it was broke upon arrival. However, the person did say they were able to get a replacement no problem.
Recommendation – If you want to do some small time tail gating, then this is for you. However, it is too small for serious tail gaters.
Kuuma 83727 Profile Portable Outdoor Gas Grill $100
Grill Features
- 150 square inches of cooking
- Uses 1 pound disposable bottle or large propane tank
PROS – It has a solid construction. It is the right size for apartments and small families.
CONS – It can be difficult to attach the canister if it is sitting on a table.
Recommendation – While it is nice, I think you could find a better grill for $100.
Portable BBQ Grills Charcoal
Weber 121020 Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill $45
Grill Features
- Legs pivot
- No nuts or bolts to lose
PROS – It can accommodate 6 to 8 people and charcoal last a long time
CONS – The flame goes out with wind.
Recommendation – The reviews were way more positive than negative. In fact, finding a bad review was not easy. Therefore, I would say this grill delivers what it promises. It is not cheap but no Weber product is.
Landmann 610101 Portable Tabletop Charcoal Grill $61
Grill Features:
- 187 square inches of cooking space
- Sliding vents
- Locking lid
PROS – The grill does great for grilling. People do not have complaints about its ability to grill anything or how hot it gets.
CONS – The main complaint is the lid. For some reason, the lid does open all the way. It only opens to 90 degrees instead of a full 180.
Recommendation – Frankly, the lid thing would bother me. However, if you can get over the lid, then it would be a good purchase.
